The 34th Annual North American Shuffleboard Championships (NASC) took place from October 25 to November 3, 2024, at the J Resort Casino Hotel in Reno, Nevada. This premier event in table shuffleboard featured 13 events across four skill levels, ensuring inclusivity by providing opportunities for beginners, intermediate players, advanced competitors, and professionals to compete in matches tailored to their abilities. Competitors played on 32 world-class shuffleboard tables, including 24 brand new Grand Champion Shuffleboard Tables, renowned for their precision-engineered surfaces and durable construction, ensuring top-quality equipment for all participants. Participants were required to be registered guests at the J Resort Casino Hotel. This policy fostered a centralized and cohesive tournament experience. This arrangement allowed players and organizers to easily coordinate schedules and activities. They also enjoyed the convenience of being on-site, with special room rates offered for the event. These rates were subject to additional taxes and resort fees. The group rate expired on October 18, 2024.
Players registered individually, providing their Player ID number and doubles partner information if applicable. The tournament utilized the 2024 Bowers Ratings system to classify participants, ensuring fair competition by grouping players of similar skill levels together.

During the 2024 NASC, Ron McMahan was honored with the George & Donna Wilber Award for his many years of dedication and contributions to the sport. His efforts include promoting shuffleboard through community events, mentoring new players, and advancing the game’s visibility on a national level. The awards ceremony took place on the evening of Friday, November 1st, at 7:00 PM.
